Vania Iscandari, a Senior at Oakland Mills High School and a member of Youth on Board, brings a youth perspective to FIRN’s Board. An honor roll student-athlete and Delta Scholar, Vania has also held leadership positions in her church’s youth fellowship and the Howard County NAACP Youth Council; been a member of Voices for Change Youth Summit Committee, Horizon Foundation/Connections Youth, and PATH; and served as a peer mediator and a FIRN Club LEAP volunteer tutor. Her mother is from Ecuador and her father is from Italy.
