Laurel Conran, an ESOL Team Leader in the Howard County Public School System, brings to FIRN’s Board considerable experience in designing and implementing outreach programs for foreign-born students and their families. She has collaborated with FIRN’s Club LEAP program and Howard Community College on English programming for the foreign born and has numerous publications to her credit.  Laurel holds an Associate degree from HCC, a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Towson University and a Masters degree in Instructional Systems Development/English as a Second Language from the University of Maryland at Baltimore County.
