‘More Than Hope’ – Event Supporting Refugees and Asylum Seekers! Meet some of the Artists.

Join us in creating a brighter future at ‘More than Hope’ – a multicultural event supporting refugees and asylum seekers!

Experience the transformative power of compelling speakers, soul-stirring music, and captivating dance performances addressing themes of belonging and social injustice. Don’t miss this chance to be touched and inspired!

Today, we’re thrilled to introduce three remarkable artists who will grace our event:

Buzz Merrick: A singer/songwriter in the tradition of Seeger, Guthrie, and Prine. Buzz leads singalongs with his Songbook for Social Change, sharing lyrics & chords for 16 songs. Join him in the spirit of the Civil Rights era as he adds new verses to classics like “500 Miles,” “Which Side Are You On?,” and more. Buzz shares the singalong songbook for free, promoting unity through the power of music.

Dr. Dorothy Adamson Holley (Drum Dr. Dot!): A multi-talented artist integrating mental health and the arts to promote healing. As a Developmental Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, percussionist, and more, she brings Drumetry™ – a form of healing through music. Explore themes of love, forgiveness, peace, freedom, wholeness, and cultural pride through Drumetry.
